ALEXANDRA ON-LINE WEATHER

NOTE: Rainfall figures on the weather data pages are measured midnight to midnight.

WELCOME !

Thanks for visiting our website. Please use it regularly and we suggest you add its address to your list of favourites. This service commenced on the 4th April, 2008. This automatic weather station is a private station providing weather data for the Alexandra town area.

Whilst every effort is made to ensure the data is accurate and the best quality equipment is utilised, along with regular quality checking, combined with a scheduled maintenance regime you should be aware that the data supplied is unofficial. However various media are now using this station for their daily observations.

There are no Bureau of Meteorology automatic weather stations that provide accurate data for this area apart from the one at the Eildon Fire Tower on Skyline Road overlooking Lake Eildon. Due to its altitude and location the data from that site is not always indicative of Alexandra weather.

This service is operated on a non profit basis however there are running costs amounting to around $1000 annually. This weather station, at Alexandra, is located in the Weather Bureau North Central Weather District and the CFA North Central Total Fire Ban District.
