Also not sure if you can see what the SINR looks like..
how do i find the SINR with the HUAWEI B593s-601 ??
I've got the B315 model so I'm not familiar with that unit.
I suspect that if you can't see it on the screen that you're looking at, you won't be able to find it.
If this is the case, then try aim to get the best possible values for RSRP & RSRQ by moving the device around.
i get much better signal upstairs outside on the Veranda i am downstairs under the Stairs
You could buy an weatherproof cabinet for the device and leave it outside- I'm sure this will work out cheaper than an external antenna.
I would then run an Ethernet cable inside to either a switch (to give you additional Ethernet ports) or to an access point.
Nice. That thing is going to catch some serious lightening strikes though...
I have got a Huawei B315 modem with a Telkom prepaid sim card. Got a Poynting XPOL-6 antenna which I installed yesterday and connected to the modem. After installation:
Signal parameters:
RSRQ -6db (good)
RSRP -83dBm (excellent)
SINR 5dB (bad)
RSSI -61 dBm (good)
Signal strength: 4 out of 5 bars.
Download speeds range from 14-21 (max)Mbps and upload speeds of around 19Mbps everytime. The download speeds dropped to around 2-3Mbps between 19:00 and 20:00 last night which might be contributed to congestion?
Anything else I can do to improve speeds and improve SINR which is bad? My modem software doesn't show cellID so not sure which tower I'm connected to. I just turned the antenna till I got best signal. In that direction I saw towers and I have direct line of sight to them.
have you tried 1800MhZ and 2300MhZ on TELKOM LTE ??
Update your firmware. It will give you the option to change the bands.
