CapeXit? Separatists bid to split South Africa

Asking again:
What will the standalone Western Cape offer to trade for things like fuel and material to sustain it's economy?

I'm not much into predictions.

Potentially, though?

Protection of wealth/capital. There's a terrible scarcity of that in the world.

Indeed that's pretty damning.

I live in Africa. I expect my president to be black all the time, perhaps with the occasional exceptional individual of another race dotted in here and there.
They got an Indian PM where you are moving to. Probably some Abdul will take over by the time you land. Don't say I didn't warn you. Again and again.

Steenhuisen answers it quite frankly here, the only way it could happen now is with a violent uprising.
With all the permutations of the current election, the best thing that could happen is that the DA coalition wins and pushes for the devolution of powers, then allows the national referendum.
If the DA wins then what's the point ?
If the ANC/EFF/MK combo wins then there is no chance they will allow it.

I was trying to avoid dragging him into this thread so he didn't pollute it with his ramblings but our resident secessionist lexity.
must say as kookoo as he is I've never seen him make racist comments.

And if you don't like the government, just secede!
And if you don't like that new government, just secede further.
And if you don't like that new new government, just secede a few more times til it's just your neighborhood or house.
Correct.

And at each level you accept responsibility for the cost of mistakes/oversight/poor judgement.

This freedom to fail will form a check on frivolous, have-go independence movements i.e. entitlement-minded brats such as those that threatened to leave the US should Trump be elected. I don't think many of them followed through. Why not? Because a) they had to pay for their relocation themselves and they realised b) Trump was not as dangerous to their masters i.e. the deep state, as they first feared.

What a thug.

79% of the DA's own supporters, in the WC, want a referendum.

The most democratic tool in the chest.

But no, the DA leadership consider themselves paternalistic benefactors who have no need for consulting their unwashed voters, who have been threatened with ANC rule in the WC should they vote for smaller parties.

The ANC big-wigs being black is coincidental. I live in Africa. I expect my president to be black all the time, perhaps with the occasional exceptional individual of another race dotted in here and there. It's just demographics. What I don't expect is for him to be a corrupt useless sack of schit like the current one.

Race isn't the problem here. Ethics and morality are.
Would this apply to a European country as well?

England? boy - I probably got wrong guy.
LOL I think you did yes.

Not that I'd be adverse to the government shipping all the white folks off to England. If they're paying I'll happily leave the asylum.

Handing the country over to corrupt people is the issue, not handing the country to 'Blacks'. It was perfectly fine under Nelson Mandelas rule in 1994 for a few years. In fact, we were getting worldwide accolades for things that we did.

Sheesh the racism never ends here. Not every Indian or Black is corrupt ya know... Ya tarring an entire race with the same brush because of a few indviduals actions is quite laughable!
