GP’s will soon be stripped of the ability to sign people off work as part of a major government inititive to crack down on ‘sicknote culture’.

Rishi Sunak today claimed that a surge in people signed off sick with mental health conditions is placing ‘unsustainable’ pressure on the welfare budget.

Had an employee who told her fellow staff that they were all "entitled" to take off at least 3 days a month for sick leave, and they were stupid not to use this entitlement

I told her I was also entitled not to employ her. She said she would go to the CCMA if she were let go for any reason.

After working for 3 weeks, she took off 3 days, two weeks in a row over a month end. The following Friday I told her that this was her last day at work. She claimed unfair dismissal and demanded compensation plus reinstatement. Replying to the CCMA, I said she had abandoned her job by not turning up. She could not prove how many days she had come to work or stayed off, as she declined to sign an attendance register. End of case

Does this apply to contagious illness as well, genius?

Of course yes. The quicker it spreads the faster everyone can get it and immune systems start working. No excuses for sitting at home doing nothing.

Can’t do that if you use a witch doctor.
It’ll be racist plus Rushi will get cursed.
