Never trust anything on Facebook. Ful of people in echo chambers sharing fake news that agrees with their preconceived opinions.

About the only news site I trust 100% is BBC. Every other site there's always some doubt that maybe they got something wrong, left something out they didn't like, didn't ask questions if they may no like the answers or just presents opinion as fact.

So any site with "mzansi" in the title can be immediately flagged as trash.

Hope no legitimate sites have "mzansi" in their name/URL.
 
How do fake news purveyors pay for their publications? Is it fake advertising too?

No idea, I use uBlock Origin.

But I assume it's probably legitimate ads as well, and then also links to sites provided by Taboola, and other kack like that.
 
Suppose in their eagerness to be first with the story news media open themselves up to be duped by people with agendas to discredit.
